You will also need to know that there is a distinct difference between an Apple memory and that of a Compaq memory. It is important to only buy products that work with your particular model and series if you want the upgrade to work well for your particular laptop.

Of course, when you are looking into the XOOM tablet but have an interest in the Apple iPad or vice versa, you will want to compare the differences and similarities between the two. Ideally, you would do this without any preconceived notions or leanings either way. You compare the two with an open mind so that you get a clear picture of the real differences.

Differences

The biggest difference that is the most crucial for some people is the price difference. The Motorola tablet sells for less than the Apple iPad. It also boasts a dual-core processor while the latter uses a single-core processor. Apple's tablet is slightly smaller with a 9.7 inch screen. Motorola's tablet has a 10.1 inch screen. With its larger screen, the XOOM also has a higher resolution, 1280 x 800 compared to Apple iPad's 1024 x 768.

Motorola XOOM has several features that the Apple iPad does not. It has cameras on both the front and back of the unit. It can also record hi-def videos. It is one of the few tablets that support Flash. It has three different sensors: a barometer, an accelerometer, and a gyroscope.

Which Should You Choose?

You have to consider what you need from a tablet. Ask yourself questions such as, "Do I need to have access to a camera?" "Can I live without the ability to use Google Maps fully as a GPS system?" "How much resolution do I want?"
